The Nugget Casino scored big with its first softball tourney of the season when hundreds of players converged to Wendover.
The first place team, SVA, received 12 custom Wendover Nugget Jackets. The second place team, PMS/Desert, got 12 DeMarini Vexxum Backpacks. Tri-Lambs who cam in third won 12 custom Wendover Nugget shirts.
“We had three Wendover teams play in this tournament,” said event organizer Luciano Munoz. “Most of the teams where from Utah a few teams from Elko. We also had a home-run derby in which all proceeds went to my kids baseball program. We expect the same results for are next tournament but are prizes will be even better.”
The next tournament styled “Battle of the Sexes” begins May 31st.
