We woke up Wednesday to the news of the massacre of the staff of Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

We got to know its editor  Stéphane Charbonnier, in 2006 when we re-published the Danish cartoons that ridiculed the prophet Mohamed.

Now he is dead.

Call it lost in translation but to be completely honest we never liked the content of his newspaper. We found it rude and crude and for a satirical publication it really wasn’t that funny.

hebdo5But they did have the guts to republish the Mohamed cartoons and unlike us, they republished them in a city, Paris, and a country , France, where laughing at Muslims can get one killed.

The risk they took was much, much greater than the one we took.

So we kept up our subscription and kept sending them the Advocate because courage should be rewarded.

And to honor Charbonnier and the 11 other martyrs of freedom we republish their cartoons.

hebdo1According to our president “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

We ask why shouldn’t it?

hebdo2
(les canards(ducks)= magazine/newspaper french slang) Ducks will always fly higher than guns

Sure there are a billion Muslims in the world. But that leaves 6 billion infidels.

Speaking as one of those infidels We are going to insult the prophet of Islam until we are blue in the face.

Mohamed’s mother wore Army boots!!!
