On July 7, WWPD responded to the Montego Bay Hotel/Casino call about an unwanted guest. The officers identified Brittany Wailes, and warned her to not return or else she would face trespass charges. But she returned, and the Casino security wanted to pursue charges. During their interview with Brittany the officers began to suspect that she was under the influence of narcotics, and after further observations from a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and a blood test, she was booked, also for suspicion of being under the influence of a schedule I narcotic.

On July 9, West Wendover officers received information that Romaine Harris, 49 male from Ft.Duschene Utah ,was at the Rainbow casino. Romaine was wanted on a probation violation in Utah and a local municipal court warrant for a DUI. Romaine was located in the casino with the assistance of a confidential informant who was familiar with Romaine. The informant was able to lead officers to his location where he was taken into custody without incident.

On July 11, West Wendover officers responded to the Montego Bay casino to take a report of a theft from a vehicle. Officers learned that an employees vehicle had been entered and property was taken. Through use of surveillance footage the suspects were tracked to a hotel room. Officers made contact with the occupants of the room and identified Serene Al-Abbodi and Sergey Tkachenko. The officers recovered all of the stolen property and took both into custody for suspicion of vehicle burglary and possession of stolen property with a value of less then $650.

On July 12, West Wendover officers responded to the Wendover Nugget Hotel/Casino to take an injury to property report. Upon arrival Devin Smith was identified and detained by security personnel. Through interviews and surveillance it was found that Devin had been walking through the hotel kicking doors and walls causing minor damage. Customers summoned security due to the disturbance. When security located Devin he would not submit to an interview and began to yell and curse, creating a disturbance in the hotel. Devin was placed into handcuffs and detained while police were summoned.

Officers soon suspected that Devin was possibly under the influence of a narcotic. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) was summoned to observe Devin. After an observation period and examination Devin was also booked for suspicion of unlawful use of a schedule I narcotic.
