    Accused child molester Ace Alfred Green will make his first appearance in Elko district Court April 21.
    Last month green a 2006 graduate of West Wendover High School formally waived his right to a preliminary trial paving the way for his plea bargain to be accepted in Elko District Court.
    Green 19 a former WWHS Football star and competitive marksman initially pled guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of minor children last November in exchange for the Assistant District Attorney Mark Torvinen dropping several other counts.
    The two guilty pleas ensure that Green will serve at least one year in prison.
    However the plea bargain itself could come back to haunt Torvinen who is also a candidate for Elko District Judge.
    Torvinen is challenging incumbent Michael Memeo, affectionately and not so affectionately known as “Maximum Mike” in local legal circles has often times infuriated both defense and prosecution attorneys for refusing to accept plea bargains after they have been brokered.
    Green will not however appear before Memeo innstead the case will be heard by elko district Judge Andrew Puccinelli.
    Since his arrest Green has been out of jail on a $5,000 bail bound.
