An Elko County Jury acquitted former West Wendover Assistant Fire Chief Jeremy Loncar of the murder of his wife Wednesday after about eight total hours of deliberations. The trial wich last over two weeks was the first one ever televised or webcast in its entirety in Elko County history.

I think you are getting off the subject. My comment was directed towards the officers that conducted the investigation. It was in response to the recent court case of Mr. Loncar. It was not directed towards teachers, doctors, or emt's. I have no idea where this came from. I did not condemn all police officers. As a citizen of this country and of Wendover, I have a right to question what I view as an injustice. I am sorry to burst your bubble, but history is full of cases of injust acts committed by the police. I am sure in your fantasy world of idelaism this does not happen. So save your soliloquy for a legitimate topic. Learn to think "outside the box". It is dangerous to be blind a follower-you might fall.

Very funny people on this forum, But sorry to let you down, I am not an officer, I work at the casinos. And I can't imagine what you can do other than being a teacher that would suffice as "something better to do with their lives" as stated by "Wendover Residnt" (who more than obviously is not a teacher.) I am trying to make a point to everyone reading this. You are not better than anyone else. Whether you like the police or not, they are here to help you, and I have no idea why ANYONE would want to get paid low wages to help people as closed minded and ignorant as you. I have to say I admire them for keeping with the job. If it weren't for police officers, doctors, firefighters, EMT's and teachers, we would have an entire town of people like you, and I can't say that would be very much fun. I love how people "know what should have been done". Until you are in that situation, physically, mentally and emotionally you do not have any idea what you would have done. So, just to reiterate, put up or shut up Barney,

It's funny, The only thing that I see police in Wendover doing is writing tickets for speeding. Let's face the truth, if you're a cop in wendover you're not the cream of the crop.
Most people would not stoop so low as to become a "Law Enforcement" officer. They have better things to do with their lives. You, as an officer, only cause misery upon everyone and every person you come in contact with.

Get over it people! Find someone else to torture. You all need to pull your heads out of your you-know-whats. I am SO disgusted with people in this town! Get a life! Wendover is NOT the center of the universe, my Lord I cannot believe the ignorance that this town seems to wallow in every day! How I would love to pull all of your skeletons out of the closet. before you try and judge the POLICE FORCE, or anyone else ::ahem Barney:: think about who YOU are. You do not know how to be a police officer, therefore you are not one, If you would be so wonderful at it, and you know everything about law enforcement and crime scenes than become a police officer and fix it, otherwise SHUT UP.

I agree with "Angel of Anne". Don't sleep to tight, girlfriend! Of course when you are told as a jury that you are NOT to convict unless you are 100% sure, even if your gut feeling tells you otherwise, the jury people almost never convict in those cases (like O.J Simpson Duh!). Even when the average Jo knows there is to much coincidences (a young women DOESN't die in bed of suffocation, she would have run for fresh air, even run naked to get some air, that's instinct of conservation; and her dying just after he his served with divorce papers...hum! also the girl friend being the first EMT on the scene ...isn't that convenient and a little fishy?) and weird behaviors from Loncar part (burning the mattress, buying a sport car to his new girl friend... I am sorry but the Jury had to say not guilty for loss of enough hard evidence to convict him, THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NOT GUILTY!

This is the first case ever where I saw every expert and all forms of law enforcement testify for the defense! The true criminals in this case are the couple of people who claim to be Annies friends and her family! What kind of a parent would expose all of there daughters little secrets after she died of "NATURAL CAUSES" to the hole world! What a discrace! I think its funny Jeremy didn't even need to testify for him self, seems like those who were honest, and really knew whats going on did it for him! Hope the Loncar family lives a long and happy life! And for the liars in this case, you will pay for your sins some day.
