Car Thieves Nabbed In Ely
Despite their beards there was something not altogether kosher about two strangers on the side walk in down town Ely on Ground Hog Day and it turned out to they were suspected car thieves.
Giving lie to the old saying that looks can be deceiving White Pine County Sheriff’s Sergeant Todd Finches struck police gold when he followed two traveling men acting and looking suspicious to a 2004 2500 Dodge Ram Charger Pickup.
The enterprising cop ran the plate of vehicle and sure enough it came up stolen out of California.
Both men Ronald R. Rodacker age 58 of Elbe, Washington and James A. Hamil age 33 of Ashford , Washington were arrested for possession of stolen property. Bail was set at $10,000 each and the investigation continues.
