On December 12, 2014 the White Pine County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle matching that of Bruce Hendrix located near Shingle Pass in Lincoln County, NV. White Pine County Sherriff’s deputies along with Lincoln County deputies responded to the area. Deputies located the vehicle and nearby located Bruce Hendrix. Hendrix was deceased and during the investigation it was determined that he had died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the coroner case. Investigation continues.
An Ely accountant is the subject of a statewide man hunt for the murder of his wife and the arson of his home and business.
Bruce Wayne Hendrix, 63, is wanted for the nuder of his wife Julia and the arson of both his home and business Monday evening in Ely, Nevada.
According to witnesses, Hendrix was seen running from his home just moments before his house ignited into flames. Shortly after fire fighters arrived, the body of Mrs. Hendrix was discovered.
Mr. Hendrix has not been seen since.
According to a White Pine county Sheriff’s Attempt to locate bulletin, Hendrix is driving a brown 1988 Chevrolet pick-up truck with a brown camper shell. The license number of the pick up is 559SDZ.
Law enforcement agents are advised to approach with extreme caution. According to the bulletin, Hendrix could be armed with at least one rifle, perhaps two.
Hendrix has operated his small accounting firm for over 20 years in Ely serving mostly small businesses and private idivisuals.
According to the Nevada state website, his CPA license was revoked in 2013. His late wife was a Mary Kay Cosmetic aganet.
According to neighbors, the Hendrixes were a quiet church going couple.
