West Wendover Wolverine boy’s soccer beat Battle Mountain in a great game with a score of 4-0 last Friday.  Their last game in the season before the state tournament will be at home against White Pine at 4:00, which will be their senior night.  The boy’s soccer team so far are first in the state, and will have their greatest challenge at the state tournament at Incline High School on November 6-7.  The boy’s soccer player of the week this week is Omar Corona/

The girl’s soccer team had a good weekend as well, beating Battle Mountain on Friday.  They will play against White Pine’s girls on Thursday during their senior night as well.  The player of the week for girl’s soccer is Marcela Martinez.

CentraComVeterans-Day-Adcorrected-e1416341608293Cross country did a great job at Spring Creek the is week with Jorge Aguirre taking first place and Joel Rodriguez taking third.  They will be going to the south divisional tournament this weekend looking to defend their boy’s division title.  The cross country athlete of the week is Rigoberto Carrillo.

Football had a rough senior night against Battle Mountain on Friday losing 45-0.  They are still going to playoffs, for the first time in a few years, in Yerington on November 6.  The football player of the week is Zade Elton.

Volleyball had a rough weekend against Incline and North Tahoe.  They lost every match, but played their hardest of the season.  This is their last game, as they just came up short of going to the playoffs.  The varsity volleyball player of the week is Anahi Esparaza, and the JV player is Jackie Collazo.

The cheerleader player of the week is Giovana Sevilla.
