West Wendover Art Teacher, Cheryl  Bishop who by  her dedication to her students and her art, inspired many to strive, is retiring this end of the school year. She has been so inspiring that for the last several years, her students have won many or all Best of Shows  and First places at the County level.

She also helped her students recognize the importance of Veterans Day by pushing them to enter into the yearly poster Contest organized by the High Desert Advocate. She won in 2014 1st Place with a Clay Sculpture, at a art contest for Wendover Will as part of Nevada’s  150 years Anniversary. And in 2015, helped Meagan Leggett design a mural for the local preschool. The good deeds and good influence that she spread goes on and on. And her patience and smile, together with her encouragements, is may be what made her students love her so much. She also was the counselor for the West Wendover Branch of the National Honor Society. She will be  missed when she goes.
