Long time area resident Robert Byron Stone died this week at the age of  70.

Born in Kissimmee, Florida on July 21st, 1941 to Virgil Stone and Zelma (Arbaugh) Stone, the family moved to Jerome Idaho where he attended Jerome Junior High and Valley High in Eden/Hazelton Idaho.

He married Jewel LaCombe on June 25th 1960. They were married for 25 years and had two children, son Arbie and daughter Kimberly Fox.

He worked in the gaming industry for the biggest part of his life in various cities throughout Nevada, including Elko, Ely, Fallon, Jackpot, Laughlin, Reno, Las Vegas, and most recently in Wendover.

He semi-retired and made his home in Montello in 2003 where he enjoyed working on old cars and motorcycles and building a huge collection of country music works.

Brother Marvin Stone of Buhl, Idaho

Sister Connie LaCombe of Wendover, Nevada

Brother Larry Stone of Twin Falls, Idaho

Brother Bobby Trivitt of Jerome, Idaho

Many nieces and nephews

And the mother of his children Jewel Stone.
