Peppermill Corporation awarded $32,000 in scholarships to 13 students of Wendover’s 2014graduating class.

The Scholarship recipients for the 2014 year are:

Wildcats 2014Wendover High School; Claudia De La Cruz,Mayra Rojas, Beneza Montalvo, Xochilt Miramontes and Stephanie Jimenez.

Wolverines 2014West Wendover High School;  Xavier Gonzalez, Natali Soriano, Monica Carter, Adrian Flores, Ty Morely, Stephan Eveleth, Laura Mercado and Tianah Sweat.

The Peppermill started the program in 2010 with the promise of giving $250,000 over a ten year period to local students to be used towards college or vocational tuition costs.  The Peppermill Scholarship is designed to identify our local students who have demonstrated that they are committed to attending college and have shown outstanding community spirit and involvement throughout their high school years. The scholarship recipients can use their scholarship money over a two year period for college expenses.
