imgresThe Reno Rodeo Foundation is currently accepting applications for its annual college scholarship program in support of students in the rural areas of Northern Nevada. Since 1986, the Foundation has endeavored to promote educational opportunities to all eligible rural Nevada high school graduates. Over the years, the foundation has helped fund hundreds of students in furthering their education.

Eligibility requirements are: graduation from a high school in rural Northern Nevada; GPA of 3.0 or better; and plans to pursue a degree and declare a major in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, Natural Resources or the College of Science specific to Pre-Vet or Pre-Med degrees or declare a major in the Colleges of Business, Education, or Nursing at an accredited Northern Nevada college or university.

wrecaquaThe number of scholarship recipients will vary based on the number of qualified applications received and the funding designated by the Reno Rodeo Foundation Board of Trustees.

Scholarships Available:

Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship: A Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship is a minimum of a $1,000 awarded to graduates of a rural Nevada high school who attends an accredited Northern Nevada college or university in pursuit of a degree.

Bob & Kristen Tallman/Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship:  The Bob & Kristen Tallman/Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded annually to a graduate of a rural Nevada high school who attends an accredited Northern Nevada college or university in pursuit of a degree.

Silver Spur Scholarship/Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship: Thanks to funding by an anonymous donor, the Silver Spur Scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded annually to a graduate of a rural Nevada high school who attends an accredited Northern Nevada college or university who declares a pre-vet major.
