On Thursday Jan 14 WWHS parents and community members rallied together to raise $14,000 for chairs. The chairs being purchased with the funds raised by parents will be a great addition to WWHS. The 500 chairs will be used for graduation, prom, and other school activities. Parents were able to raise $5,608. The chair committee is already in the planning phase for the next big fundraiser. West Wendover High school would like to thank all of the parents, community members, and WWHS alumni who donated and supported our chair fundraiser. The West Wendover Wolverine basketball teams had an eventful past weekend, traveling to Silver Stage on Friday, then Pershing County on Saturday.

The boy’s varsity team beat Silver Stage’s team by 25 points, with a score of 72-47.  Their next game against Pershing County, however, was a loss, with a score of 47-66.  The girl’s varsity team beat Silver Stage in a close match, with a score of 49-42.  Their next game against Pershing County was a loss, with a score of 27-36.  The boy’s Junior Varsity team had a good weekend, beating Silver Stage by 35 points with a score of 62-27 on Friday, then beating Pershing County by 17 points with a score of 65-48.
