Last Tuesday, August 7, 2018, the West Wendover Police Department hosted its first annual National Night Out event at Scobie Park.

The community was invited to a BBQ from 7pm-10pm where they were able to dine and visit with the police and other emergency responders. Hamburgers, Hotdogs and snacks were provided to all that arrived. Some great prizes were also given away throughout the evening.

“We would like to thank all those that participated and sponsored this year’s event…Peppermill Inc., Smith’s Supermarket, Red Garter, Lee’s Liquor, the High Desert Advocate for its complimentary advertising and of course all the employees and emergency responders who served food and provided information to the community. It was a great turnout and we look forward to making this an annual event.”
