It was a big turn out, with a big crowd waiting in the hall entrance to get their “Passport”. From there, everyone would meet with a kind of a wax Museum along the way, meeting different famous people, impersonated by 5th graders. The students had to research their “Person” and read to passerby on their way to other rooms, about their lives.
Then, each room had different reading activities: Dr. Seuss crafts, like bookmarks, goldfish bowls, Thing 1 and Thing 2 pencils, sock puppets…

Many volunteers, some teachers( Mrs Roland, Mrs Priest, Miss Duval, Mrs Carter…), some administration employees(Nelly Castañeda, Mari Ruiz and her 11 years old daughter Kaylee…), even some Smith Employees(Jason Villanueva,Juan Salazar,Bruce Ferguson, Lazaro Luna, Leif Woffinden, Bobby Graham), directed to, read with the younger children, or did some craft activities, even cooked some real Green Eggs and Ham.
Ms Parkin, Literacy teacher says an estimate of about 170 students were in attendance, with their parents.
