Upon arrival at the residence, deputies made contact with Kyle Andrew Myrick. Myrick was not armed and told the deputies that he wasupset that his wife had left the residence that he did not know where she had gone.

Mrs. Myrick had left their residence going to a neighbor’s residence. Catherine reported that she and Kyle were talking about a divorce. Catherine reported an argument had started over money. Catherine reported Kyle, tackled her to the floor and held he down for a few minutes.  Catherine was finally allowed to get up after she promised not to call the police.

Catherine went to the bedroom to call the police; Kyle grabbed the phone from her and then pointed a pistol at her. Catherine reported that Kyle told her if she called the police, he would kill her and then kill himself. Catherine went outside to smoke and to take the puppy out, she then went to the neighbors and called the police.

Kyle admitted taking all of the phones from Catherine after Catherine had stated she was going to call the police and also call her mother.  Deputes located a pistol in the nightstand where Catherine reported it was. The pistol was completely loaded with bullets to include one in the chamber. Kyle Myrick was arrested for domestic violence, coercion and assault with a deadly weapon.

Kyle Myrick was transported to the Elko County Detention Facility for booking on the above charges. Bail set at $ 103,137.00
