An Elko man is in jail on a quarter of a million bail for the alleged kidnapping/rape of his ex-girlfriend last week.
According to Elko County Sheriff’s reports Miguel Salazar was arrested December 17 shortly after his ex-girlfriend reported the assault at the Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital.
Detectives responded to the Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital on a report of sexual assault.
At the hospital Detectives met with the female victim. The victim informed Detectives that she met with her ex-boyfriend Miguel Salazar 22 Years of age with whom she has a child in common at a local store to purchase medication for their child.

After purchasing the medication Miguel Salazar asked to take the female victim, 21 years of age and their child to McDonalds to eat.

Upon leaving McDonalds Miguel Salazar did not take the female victim back to her vehicle, telling the female victim that he was going to another person’s residence. Miguel Salazar continued to travel on West Bullion Road.
The female victim asked several times for Salazar to return to her vehicle, instead forcing her and the child to travel to an isolated area off West Bullion Road.
After stopping the vehicle in this remote area Salazar made the child step out of the vehicle, then sexually assaulted the female victim.
Salazar then took the female victim and the child back to her vehicle.
Detectives located Salazar and arrested him on the Sexual Assault and Kidnapping charges. Salazar was booked into the Elko County Detention Center. Bail set at $250,000.00
I think this is bull crap. I for one have known Mr. Salazar for a very long time and above all he would not do that to his child. Secondly he has no problem getting girls. You all made him sound like a monster and he trully is not one.
