  1. Kind of funny that republicans use Abraham Lincoln for the name of its annual dinner.
If Lincoln was here nowadays he would be shunned by the Republicans for his ideals. Lincoln wouldn’t claim todays republican party.

They should name the dinner after someone who more closely fits their ideals,

How about the Sarah Palin dinner, what a joke.

  2. Not so funny, haha. Abraham Lincoln founded the Republican Party. Not all modern Republicans (IMO, certainly not most Northeastern Nevada Republicans) subscribe to the more extreme factions and/or ideas widely attributed to Republicans in general by frequently twisted media coverage. Many still aspire to Lincolnesque ideals and are struggling to overcome the divisions within the Republican Party and our completely fractured political process with the key goal of supporting less government intrusion into our lives. The key, no matter what party you may be affiliated with, is to create a platform and party that more voters can proudly support and stimulate meaningful change. What are YOU doing to support the political process, promote giving more voters choices they can actively support, and improve our American way of life?
