The West Wendover Police Department lost another second senior officer to retirement in as many weeks.
Sergeant David Wiskerchen followed Lt. Sandra Gunter into retirement last week.
The public Information officer of the department for almost a decade Wiskerchen was the face of the department whose press briefings on the Micki Costanzo kidnapping/murder were broadcast nationwide.
A native of McGill, Nevada Wiskerchen served as a deputy for the White Pine County Sheriff’s Department before coming to the WWPD.
Wiskerchen was an unsuccessful candidate for West Wendover Justice of the Peace in the 2012 election.
