The West Wendover Wolverine varsity football team won their most important game of the season last Friday.  In a beautiful recover from 0-14 in the first quarter to 16-14 by then end of the fourth, this win gave the Wolverine football team their best season since years ago.   This was the game that decided that the Wolverines were still in the season, and now have a chance to go to playoffs.  The JV football team lost a heart breaker to Wells with 24-32.  The Wolverine varsity football team has one last home game this Friday against Battle Mountain at 7:00 pm.  This game will be their senior night.

The boys soccer team is still in first place for division 2A north.  Though they had a rough loss against Incline with 1-2, this was their first loss of the season and they still got up and beat North Tahoe last Saturday 3-1.  They are off to Battle Mountain this Friday.  Wether they win this game or not, they are heading to the state tournament on November 6 & 7 at Incline High School.

centraoct15The girl’s soccer team had a rough weekend, but still played hard.  They lost both games against Incline and North Tahoe last weekend.  They look to bounce back on the road with their games against Battle Mountain on Friday and Lovelock on Saturday, still with a chance to take fourth and go to the state tournament.

Volleyball had a great senior night, beating Silverstage at home in three matches straight.  On Saturday, they lost to Lovelock with all four matches coming just short.  They will play North Tahoe and Incline this weekend, and will go to divisionals if they win beat both teams.

Cross Country ran their hardest in Elko last week, and will travel to Spring Creek to prepare for divisionals next weekend in Boulder City.
