Game 1:  

All-around effort leads West Wendover Wolverines Varsity past Incline 10-0

Sydney Reamer was strong at the plate and on the rubber in carrying West Wendover Wolverines Varsity to a 10-0 victory over Incline on Friday.  Reamer got on base four times in the game for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity. She scored two runs and had one RBI. She doubled in the third inning. West Wendover Wolverines Varsity’s Reamer kept Incline off the scoreboard for all five innings she was in the circle. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up eight.  Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed West Wendover Wolverines Varsity to easily put away Incline. A bases loaded walk by #12 and a fielder’s choice in the first inning supplied the early offense for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity added six more runs in the bottom of the third. Claudia Razo singled, scoring Reamer to start the inning.

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity increased its lead with two runs in the fifth. A steal of home scored Madison Buxton to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up with a steal of home by Buxton.

Game 2:  Incline falls 13-3 at the hands of West Wendover Wolverines 

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored three runs in the sixth on West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored in the sixth on a walk by Sydney Reamer, a walk by Claudia Razo, an RBI single by Lizandra Ramirez, and an RBI single by Ramirez.  Reamer racked up five RBIs on four hits for West Wendover Wolverines Varsity.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring three runs on two singles.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity survived Incline’s surge and put up three runs of its own in the third. West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored on an RBI single by Leonela Covarrubias and a two-run single by Reamer.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity brought home three runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the sixth. In the fourth, West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored on a two-run single by Alexia Pinedo, bringing home Ramirez and Leslie Pinedo.

Game 3:  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity best Incline in shootout, 18-8

The bats were busy on Saturday, and when the dust cleared West Wendover Wolverines Varsity had an 18-8 win over Incline in five innings.  Hitters on both sides were strong at the plate as the teams combined for 25 hits, including three extra base hits.  Eleven runs in the first three innings helped West Wendover Wolverines Varsity blow out Incline. An RBI single by Sarah Isaacs, a two-run error, a groundout by Yesi Gonzalez, and a two-run double by Madison Buxton during the first inning and an RBI single by Gonzalez, an RBI single by Nayda Rodriquez, and an RBI single by Buxton in the second inning fueled West Wendover Wolverines Varsity’s offense early.  Isaacs got a hit in each of her four at bats. West Wendover Wolverines Varsity’s Sydney Reamer, Isaacs, Buxton and Claudia Razo combined for 10 hits and 10 RBIs.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity added two more runs in the bottom of the third. Razo kicked things off with a single, plating Isaacs.  Four runs in the top of the fourth helped Incline close its deficit to 11-8. An RBI single by Briana Barraza, an error, and a two-run single by #9 triggered Incline’s comeback. The Incline threat came to an end when Reamer finally got Faith Ogden to strike out.

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity answered Incline’s top inning with four runs of its own in the fourth. West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored on a walk by Reamer, a two-run single by Razo, and an error.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity built upon its lead with three runs in the fifth. Razo singled, scoring Vanessa Stanger and Isaacs to start the inning. That was followed up by Razo’s single, bringing home Stanger and Isaacs.

Silver Stage make up games:

Early lead gives West Wendover Wolverines Varsity victory over Silver Stage, 12-1

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity beat Silver Stage 12-1 in five innings on Monday after a 10-run explosion in the second inning.  West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored in the second on a bases loaded walk by Anahi Esparza, a two-run single by Sarah Isaacs, a two-run double by Sydney Reamer, an RBI triple by Claudia Razo, an error, a two-run triple by Nayda Rodriquez, and an RBI double by Vanessa Stanger.  Esparza boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace West Wendover Wolverines Varsity. Reamer baffled Silver Stage, striking out eight batters. Reamer allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over five innings.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as West Wendover Wolverines Varsity scored one run on a sacrifice fly by Reamer.

Early lead gives West Wendover Wolverines Varsity victory over Silver Stage, 13-0

West Wendover Wolverines Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Silver Stage and captured a 13-0 victory on Monday.  With 12 runs in the first three innings, West Wendover Wolverines Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome.  A passed ball and a wild pitch in the first inning and a wild pitch, a walk by Sydney Reamer, a three-run double by Claudia Razo, and during the second inning fueled West Wendover Wolverines Varsity’s offense early.

Anahi Esparza led West Wendover Wolverines Varsity’s offensive threat, as she got on base three times in the game. She scored three runs and had one RBI. She singled in the third inning.  Reamer brought the heat against Silver Stage during her outing. Reamer gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during her five innings of work.
