Last Friday, August 31st, 2018 at around 1:40pm, NHP Troopers responded to a crash on State Route 231 near mile marker 10 (known as the Angel Lake Road) approximately 2 miles south of Wells.
The preliminary NHP investigation indicates that Ms. Lacey Wolf, age 26, from Wells, Nevada was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on State Route 231. As the highway curved to the left, she allowed her vehicle to continue in a straight direction to the right paved shoulder. Ms. Wolf then overcorrected the Toyota to the left causing the vehicle to rotate counterclockwise as it traveled across both lanes to the east dirt shoulder. The vehicle then overturned and Ms. Wolf was ejected. She was not wearing her seatbelt.
NHP said that alcohol might be a contributing factor in this crash, but nothing conclusive yet.
